Discounts

A Discount is a configurable price reduction — a percentage or a fixed amount — with optional manager-authorisation controls.

Where to find it: Menu → Discounts

The list shows each discount's Name, Value, Scope, Restrictions, and row actions.

Add a discount

  1. Click Add Discount.
  2. Fill in the details:
    Field Required What it's for
    Discount Name Yes The name staff see (e.g. "Staff Meal Discount")
    Type Yes Percentage or Fixed amount
    Value Yes The discount value (0–100 for a percentage)
    Scope Yes Item-level (applies to a line item) or Check-level (applies to the whole order)
    Cap No An optional maximum dollar value the discount can reach
  3. Set the toggles as needed:
    • Open Name — allow the name to be changed at the POS.
    • Open Value — allow the value to be overridden at the POS.
    • Floored — the discount cannot reduce the total below zero.
    • Requires authorisation — a manager PIN is needed to apply it.
  4. Click Create Discount.

Edit a discount

Click a discount row to edit it.

Authorisation controls

Use Requires authorisation for discounts that shouldn't be applied without oversight (e.g. large percentage reductions). When set, applying the discount at the POS prompts for a manager PIN.
