# Timesheet Adjustments
## Timesheet Adjustments are used to modify the time a user logged in or logged out if an error was made.
### Adjusting timesheets
Search for the record you wish to adjust either by time period or by user.
Select the record you wish to adjust from the list provided.
Enter the modifications in the fields provided.
Adjust Employee Time in
Adjust Employee Time out
Click ‘Update’ to save your modifications.
Best Practice
If an employee get to the end of their shift wihout having signed in at all, make sure that they sign in and then sign out at the end of the shift. If you can make this change immediately, it's best to do so.
If you are not able to make the adjustment, set a reminder to do so. You can set reminders in employee messages.
